Are you ready for Google’s new mobile friendly algorithm?
In case you weren’t aware Google are launching a new mobile friendly algorithm in April that promises to be bigger than both Panda or Penguin algorithms. This means publishers need to get serious about optimising their websites for mobile or risk significantly lower mobile visits as a result.
Due to be released on April 21st Google have already stated that it will have a ‘significant impact’ on their mobile results. This impact will largely be down to how much mobile traffic you are already receiving however given the rapid growth of mobile behaviour this could be as much as 50%.
To take action on this we recommend verifying your mobile website in Google’s webmaster console and review the mobile usability report to identify any errors. You can also use Google’s Mobile Friendly Testing Tool to identify similar issues.
